1. Weather Awareness

Kumano weather can shift quickly, especially during:

  • typhoon season (June–October)
  • heavy rain periods
  • strong coastal winds

2. Natural Hazards

Kumano consists of mountains, rivers, and coastline. Be aware of:

  • coastal surges during storms
  • landslides on steep rural roads
  • falling branches in forest areas

3. Earthquake Safety

Japan is seismically active. If an earthquake occurs:

  • Stay calm and move away from falling objects
