Service Checks & Local Coordination

What We Check Directly

As part of a Reset, Horizon Coast performs basic operational checks to establish whether essential services are present, accessible, and functioning at a simple, day-to-day level.

  • Water supply: on/off, visible leaks, basic flow
  • Electrical supply: meter presence, breaker status, visible hazards
  • Gas (if present): connection status (no pressure testing)
  • Toilets and drainage: basic flushing and flow observation
  • Bath, sink, and tap operation
  • General amenity usability (lights, switches, ventilation)

These checks are observational and functional only. They are not technical inspections.

What We Do Not Certify

Horizon Coast does not certify, repair, or approve building systems. We do not provide engineering opinions, compliance certification, or safety guarantees.

Our role is to identify whether systems appear operational or clearly require professional attention.

Local Specialist Referrals

Where deeper inspection is required, we coordinate with local, licensed specialists, including:

  • Plumbers
  • Electricians
  • Septic tank and wastewater specialists
  • Gas suppliers
  • General building trades

These specialists provide their own inspections, recommendations, and mitsumori (written quotations) directly to the owner or agent.

Why This Approach Works

  • Prevents unnecessary full inspections before a property is stabilised
  • Respects local trades and existing service networks
  • Separates clarification work from technical liability
  • Allows owners to make informed decisions in stages

This keeps the Reset practical, neutral, and cost-aware.
