Rates and pricing to be added soon.

1. Bed & Breakfast — Short Stay

For guests who want a simple, comfortable base on the Island — clean rooms, honest kai, and space to breathe.

  • 1–3 nights in lodge accommodation
  • Twin, double, or family options
  • Farm-style breakfast each morning
  • Tea, coffee, and drinking water available in the lodge
  • Access to lounge, decks, and outdoor areas
  • Basic orientation on arrival — safety, tides, weather, and Island etiquette

Who It Suits

The short stay option is designed for guests who want an easy Island base without a full hosted programme.

  • Visitors passing through Tauranga Moana
  • Couples or small families seeking quiet time near the sea
  • Guests attending events or tangihanga on Matakana or Rangiwaea
  • Travellers wanting a grounded overnight farm-lodge experience

2. Farm & Table — Hosted Lodge Stay

Our signature stay: mornings on the whenua, afternoons free to explore, and evenings gathered around the table with kai from the farm, garden, and sea.

  • 3–5 night hosted lodge stay
  • Shared or exclusive lodge use, depending on group size
  • Daily farm-style breakfast and hearty lodge dinners
  • One lighter lunch per full day
  • Guided farm walk or garden session, weather and workload dependent
  • Hosted evening of stories, music, and Matakana / Tauranga Moana / Japan connections

Farm & Table Add-Ons

Add-ons are arranged only when conditions, safety, and farm rhythm allow.

  • Guided harbour fishing session
  • Cooking session — smoking, baking, sashimi prep, or farm-style meals
  • Visit to neighbouring farms or orchards where relationships allow
  • Photography or media support for farming and industry delegations
  • Use of basic lodge fishing gear, conditions apply

3. Course & Retreat Weeks

Designed for groups with a clear purpose: professional development, study tours, community programmes, or creative retreats.

  • Dairy farming systems on Māori trust land
  • Soil, pasture, and animal welfare fundamentals
  • Farm safety culture and practical risk management
  • Garden-to-table programmes
  • Fishing, food security, and coastal sustainability in Tauranga Moana

Typical Retreat Inclusions

  • 5–7 nights lodge accommodation
  • Full catering — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and tea breaks
  • Daily workshop or practical block on farm or in lodge
  • Printed or digital material prepared in advance
  • End-of-week reflection session and group feedback

Course weeks are planned case-by-case based on group size, content level, and facilitator time.

4. Add-Ons & Extras

The Island is not a theme park. Weather, tides, safety, and farm commitments always come first.

  • Harbour or coastal fishing trips with experienced skippers
  • Guided beach walks or shellfish gathering where permitted
  • Pā site visits where appropriate and respectfully arranged
  • Photography, drone, or media sessions for farm businesses
  • Transport support between Tauranga, Omokoroa, and the Island barge

5. How Booking Works

  • Send an inquiry: Tell us who is coming, when, and what kind of stay you have in mind.
  • We check dates and farm rhythm: Milking, seasonal work, tides, and barge schedules are reviewed.
  • We shape a plan together: Short stay, Farm & Table, course week, or custom option.
  • Final quote and deposit: A formal quote is sent with deposit terms and payment options in NZD.
